Sculptures can range in sizes, shapes and materials. Sculpture can be crafted out of marble, plaster, alabaster, stone, while some are cast in bronze or spelter. The subject matter is typically Classical, such as mythological figures, or more modern and abstract subjects. How Much is My Sculpture Worth?
Just like anything sold at auction, the price of sculptures can vary greatly. Typically bronze sculptures that have identifying marks, such as a signature and foundry mark (where the sculpture was cast), sell for higher figures at auction. French bronzes with the signature “Moreau” are quite popular and can range from the hundreds to thousands.
